Scoil Naomh Eoin have long standing partnerships with the local GAA clubs- O’Dempsey’s and St. Conleth’s. In 2021 St. Conleth’s won the Laois County title for the first time with many past pupils on the winning panel. Their management are also past pupils. Girls in our school have been inspired by this wonderful success.
O’Dempseys reached a Laois Senior Final in 2018 with a squad made up entirely of past pupils. We have regular visits from club players and mentors promoting the club. These links will continue long into the future.
In Spring 2022 O’Dempsey’s recruited a new GPO (Games Promotion Officer) Martin O’Connell who comes to our school to work on Fundamental Movements with all classes. The benefit of having Martin employed by O’Dempsey’s is hugely advantageous to Scoil Naomh Eoin also.
